Did the Aggies saw Varsity’s horns off? Or did they repeatedly throw themselves into the teeth of the toughest front in cfb on 4th down, and fail: not once, not twice but on three different 4th downs. And Texas brought belt to a$$ all three times. 🤘🏼

You forget to remember that Elko had two weeks to put together the train wreck that Jimbo left. I think he did an admirable job for his first year. Time will tell if he can improve the team going forward as he gets a chance to put his fingerprint on the team. I for one will give him the leeway to show what he can do.

Who cares....the Ags had the #1 class a few years ago and didn't win. It doesn't matter who the Ags recruit, the coaching will always fail the team and the school. Just look at the past TU/AM game....Coaching was the reason the Ags got beat....
@ST-ov8cm
@ST-ov8cm 17 күн бұрын
Umm…….they were a sub .500 team over the past two years and just went 8-4 this year after a coaching change and after losing 1/3 of last year’s team to the transfer portal. That is a remarkable job by any measure. You brought up t.u……they went 5-7 and 7-5 the first two years after their last coaching change. And, that was in the B-12 and without all the transfers related to the current transfer rules. A&M is way ahead of schedule.
@danwynell5230
@danwynell5230 17 күн бұрын
@@ST-ov8cm You can keep dreaming.....this year's schedule was their easiest in years. Everything fell in place for them and they failed. If they had just beaten Auburn or tu, they would've been in the championship for the first time ever. They choked due to terrible play calling....Look at next year's schedule and tell me they will be better than 8-4 with the same coaches. Year after year, the Ags get into top 10 recuiting rankings, but can only turn out an average team. Maybe it's time to go back to the Big 12 or go to the ACC where they will have a chance to get into the new playoffs. Just look SMU and BYU, teams the Ags would be favored if they played them, are in the playoffs. I want to be positive for the Ags, but I don't except being an 8-4 (or less) team every year as being a successful team. .

Aggies, relax. A first year staff lost to a 4th(?) year staff. A team in a rebuilding year should beat a team that has the recruits they want in a system and culture thats been in place for several years in this conference at this level? Come on, now. Does losing to tu suck? Yes, it does. I'm married to a horn and living IN AUSTIN. I dont want to hear it, but I'm hearing it, allllll the time. However, the defense held tu to 17 points, shut them out in the 2nd half, and forced two turnovers plus a punt block. tu fans, "But we had a million yards in offense". Yes, and scored 17 points. You don't have to play in college to know that yards are not points. Turning it over is turning it over. You won. Good for you. Your defense is really good and bails out your offense. "Defense wins championships", right? Good luck with the rest of the season and btho Georgia and whoever else. And to us, BTHO whoever we face in a bowl. See y'all at your place next year. Oh, and I like York a lot. Good leader who seems like he's really maturing and can drive that locker room forward over the next couple years or so.

Terrible quarterback after that embarrassing appearance he’s clearly not at starter level status he should have never been the starter for the biggest game of the year. Interception galore, running 5 times when their was open guys, not reading defense movement just all around rookie qb needs a lot more training and having more pocket awareness.

This coach is a high IQ guy, who's really going to make this school hard to deal with. I don't know why people are asking "what's wrong." Those are questions for Florida State, and Oklahoma State. This coach lost a ton of talent when Fisher was fired, then lost key players to injury and did pretty darn well.

Lifetime Longhorn and alumn here… a few thoughts: Elko is a class act and the right guy for that team. The Aggies are a great program, and it’s just a matter of time before the team gels and makes serious CFP runs. Also, the Kyle Field environment is amazing. Kudos to the A&M fans for their passion and intensity - every single time. I enjoy football even more when the Aggies are on top of their game. It will happen. 2024 was a big step forward.

A&M and Elko need to go in the account and get about $55 million and get out and search for all the offensive "top shelf talent" they can get.. It will also help if we adopt ( lane kiffin or steve Sark) offensive play book/ play art. Seriously, we need to go after the offensive guys that Bama, Georgia, Ohio state are trying to get!
