Now that's a really well turned out and very rare tractor !! Not many of them were made in their day. I think you could count them with the fingers on one hand, there were more 5004 models built than 5006's.

Beautiful Dave, I truly like the Super Majors with the white rims and fenders, but as I always say Fords looks so much better with slightly smaller rims and wider tires and with added weights is Super awesome

Very nice, Always wanted one, i have a 95 and a county (a forestry crock). The roadless front hubs look a bit delicate compared to.the county system. It looks like the same front steering swivel as the smaller wheel roadless axle - it looks a bit small in an equal wheel system.

75 HP. If your taking your figs from the TractorData web site ..Most of the time the GROSS output is not stated.. I would suggest you take the HP fig from the genuine UK Ford sales brochures or Stuart Gibbards books are also a good reference..

This highly impressive tractor had loads of horse power on tap, huge pulling power and grip with it's massive size and weight behind it way back in 1982. Truly the classic tractor of its time.

It's sad to see that tractor in that shape. Must have fallen off a trailer or something like a tree fell on it.

A very nicely turned out for its age classic Ford 3000. I owned and finished restoring a 1968 Ford Force 3000 with an Alexander Duncan of Aberdeen weather cab many years ago and I used to take it round shows and to other vintage events but sadly I had to part with it when I lost the rented storage I had for it. I've always had a soft spot for the Ford 3000 as it was the first tractor I drove when I started work driving tractors for a living. Then it was a 1966 pre force model Ford 3000 Super Dexta. I'd love to know if it has survived and if it is still around today and where it might be now. Sadly it doesn't show up anywhere on the DVLA website vehice checker when I searched for it, but I can always hope it's parked up in the back of a dark and dry barn somewhere just gathering dust.

I spent many long and happy hours driving a Ford 4000 in the 70s until it was traded in for a brand new Ford 4600 with the bubble cab in the summer of 1979. Oh all those happy memories. This is a 1974 model from the registration number on the plate

I don't understand why they weren't popular compared to the blue and white. The selling point was buying a remarkable tractor with added extras like air conditioning. I think the paint looks as eye catching as the blue and white. All the same it's a nice to video of an example.
