Can you get a foot controller for that model? They have the little roller throttle controller which gives you a lot of control. Also, it will go a lot faster if you lift your outboard out of the water.

To improve the horrible feel of the remote buttons, fill the button cavities with epoxy, it removes the squishy feeling, and makes the remote feel as good as a minn kota remote. The heading sensor puck is also a must imo.

@@kyus1974 Interesting.. I’ve never felt the minn kota remote. Yeah I’ve heard a few people say that.

Looking like a reasonable choice, once you factor the price difference in. I don't mind replacing a module or two myself... and at several thousand less than the competitors it's a no brainer. Was leaning toward the motorguideds just becauser I have a Lowrance sounder and they'll network together, but I can't see me really wanting to control the motor from the sounder when I have a remote for it.
@jradventures693Ай бұрын

Use Cruise Control mode for better speed control... you can adjust speed by 0.2kmh. Use course or bearing mode to track along a bank when fishing. I didn''t do this when I first got mine, recommend taking the time to learn how to use these modes it makes it so much easier to fish, I now use it all the time. The GPS module also makes a huge difference. It should be part of the motor and not an additional accessory.
@jradventures693Ай бұрын
@@trevorho9589 We appreciate the tips, I’ll try it out next time. Thank you for commenting, I hope people watching also read your comment to get some more info. I might look into getting the module. Thanks again, Josh.
@gregbutler884114 күн бұрын
So the external GPS module (the puck) is essential in your opinion? Is it because of improvements in "anchor" accuracy or other reason?
@trevorho95899 күн бұрын
@@gregbutler8841 it makes the motor a lot more easier to use especially when you use spot lock / anchor. And the ability to jog the boat position vs deactivating, move and reactivating spot lock. Plus prevents the cable getting wound up around the motor. Really should be part of the motor and not an additional extra.

@@chalkelectrical1795 It’s been good for about a year but the last month I’ve had a couple problems.
