I like this video. I suspect it was filmed very early in the morning before the stores opened. Like maybe 6:30 am ? LOL

Wow, thanks for sharing that's my home and it made me tear. I used to walk those streets with my mom and drove around with my dad.😪

To think that these downtown "Streets of Laredo" were once dusty roads with saloons and gun fighting cowboys.

Correcting a typo. I was in Laredo for the Border Olympics in 1958.

Thanks so much! Images to go with my favorite song. It has been many years since I have been to Laredo. Last time was in 198, when I competed in the Border Olympics as a shot-putter for the University of Texas at Arlington (Arlington State College then).

What about our indigenous heritage? Why don't you make a video on that too please.

How can you celebrate washigtons birthday when there is proof that he was a racist white supremacist. Order of "Red" men sounds offensive to call it red as in redskins. He considered and called Native Americans "savages". I'm from Laredo and I hope that we educate ourselves better about who we celebrate. I don't mean to be offensive but there is proof of what I say. Colonialism still exists today and this is proof of that. Why don't we celebrate something that has to do with our indigenous culture? Why don't we have a parade or school curriculum where we learn about our indigenous history. We also come from tribes and urban civilizations that exist on this CONTINENT called North America.

Laredo’s first UFO conference will feature a presentation on local UFO evidence by the Laredo Paranormal Research Society. Later, the film “Fire in the Sky” will be screened for participants, followed by a presentation by author and abductee, Travis Walton whose story is the basis of the movie. Mr. Walton will be appearing that evening on the anniversary of his abduction by extra-terrestrials. He will relate his story followed by a question-and-answer period and then a book-signing.
