Why does everyone keep calling this the Beat Farmers? That deep-voiced guy clearly announced the band's name: Anal Tomatoe. (He even specified that it was spelled with the "e").

For obvious reasons this scene was cut to shreds on TV. I think it went from him writing it down to the girls throwing stuff at him

He could said Pros-I ladies are pros at being HOES!😂 I still scream laughing at this movie! Michael Keaton was hilarious! This one and Johnny Dangerously are two of my favorites starting him.

This album was playing at the Record Bar one day when I walked in, bought the cassette (back in the day). Really great stuff, many of their songs could have been hits.

It’s Oct 2024. Hard to believe that I was listening to this back in the late 80s when I was at SJSU and here I am now living in Seattle. The music out of Santa Cruz beats anything out of Seattle today. I do miss the days working back at Valley Fair Mall.

I gave up Sade tickets to see these cats at the Roxy in Hollywood. HUUUGE Dave Allen/Shriekback fan (still, after all these decades). 🤩🤘 I’m a fossil! I remember Dave came out in a giant way-oversized foam cowboy hat. 🤔 🥳

Lakeside Trailer Park I wouldn't have minded hearing but Big Ugly Wheels? Wtf? Maybe he could have done California Kid next. Stand up on a table and drench everyone with beer. There's Beat Farmer song and Country Dick songs.

I was lucky enough to see Melvin James play this song live yesterday at a birthday party in Fort Dodge and have been listening to The Passenger again today after all these years. The guitarist on the left is Ducharme Jones- one of the most versatile guitarist in Iowa, if not the US.

At 13yrs old, in 1984, I actually shared the backstage/dressing room with Eddie & The Tide, as well as The Judds, and The Spinners @ the San Mateo County Fair. My friends and I were dressed as The Wolf & 3 Pigs (like Disneyland characters). Best days ever. Imagine being 13 in 1984 and making $45 per hour, and getting front row for their concert. What a time!

The guys were on the road and in my home town Denver. The venue is a little shit hole called the Mercury, Merc for short Tommy and i were talking before the show and he was getting nervous for some odd reason. I asked him what the problem was. Turns out the guy that was supposed to be working the spotlight was a no show. I told Tommy , don't worry about it, i'll do it. He asked if i ever used a spot before. Sure i said ,i got it. He agreed reluctantly. After the show he told me he was glad that other guy didn't show up and i out did the bum a hundred times over. It wasn't hard, the only thing i had to do was follow Country Dick Montana around .I knew the usual movements he had because i had been to a lot of shows. It was cool to be part of the show . P.S. It might have been at Herman's Hideaway . It was a long time ago and there was a lot of drinking going on. I have so many memories with these guy's. But they are rolled up into one huge and long party , so places and dates are scrambled. Good Job Kev
