Yes vents open in top and bottom, it gives more heat.

Standard aluminum (not the non-stick) frying pan. Depending on the variant of trangia you buy, it will come with the stove and you can buy the non-stick pan separately. Or vice versa.

I have only cooked at home so far with my t25, I just liked the idea of using spirit flame to cook I realise that gas is more controlled but I consider it to be cheating…… let’s hope it performs well out in the field.

Thank you for sharing! Just received my Trangia 25 and looking for videos for more ideas. My husband doesn’t understand my need to buy stoves but I counter with cheaper than buying diamonds, lol!

Is the non stick pan the default one or the Sote pan? Can hardly distinguish.

I almost always use the non stick pan, the "old" frying pan as a lit.

Came across your channel via some Facebook groups where you posted this video and I have to admit that they are completely mind blowing. Very inspiring and instructive. I am addicted to the Trangia cook sistem, they are like a drug for me and I always love to watch new recipes especially if they are specific to certain countries and cultures. Hope you will post more videos like these. Best wishes from Romania!

Try closing the top vent over the coals to draw the smoke over the protein.

True I would also cover the air holes with foil under the drip pans so they don't lower the temp around the chicken.

Hello. Why not cut three or four inches off your cooking grate. Then you're able to lift off that piece to add charcoal or remove wood.
