How do you know how many ohms the coil should be? I’ve had scenarios where the coil is Reading 20 ohms and not pulling in the contractor and a new coil reads 500 ohms. Without reading OL or 0, could it still be shorted?

@@damion1121 OL means there may be an open circuit. 0 means shortcircuit Resistance of two coils may not necessarily be the same.

I am trying to understand the how it’s calculated, having different resistances would increase/decrease the amps which would make the magnetic field weaker/stronger. Are they calculated within a certain range? I may just be over thinking it here. I do greatly appreciate the reply!
