This hotel does not meet the Mandarin Oriental standards unfortunately. It's cool because of the history, but you will find better Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world. I would take the Four Seasons / Park Hyatt any day over that hotel in BKK. But great review

Really great review. I agree 100%. A one or two day trip to this hotel makes sense. For me, I'm flying in to bangkok and staying here for two nights just to get my barrings and relax before flying on to the rest of thailand.

I agree I always fly business class from sin to han or HCM on Vietnam Airlines and yes for the price it's awesome ❤

Which one would youd you recommend more? Capella or four seasons? Oppa?

I stayed here in October 2023 and it was divine. The space is just elegant and the rooms are so beautiful. Tried all the restaurants and their BKK Social Bar as well. Dreaming to go back!

Quite surprised to find such a detail oriented review and comparison which most of the bigger more famous flying review channels are missing. Amazing video. Would be looking forward to more such videos in future.

I just flew TG J last week and I'm happy to report that J Menus have made a comeback! No more "FAs reading out menus". New amenity kits (from Jim Thompson) were also being offered, although its contents could improve a bit.

It looks like you're geared towards the luxury side of travel, so I'd like to suggest you to dedicate your channel to luxury stays and experiences in Korea. You'd be tapping into an unconquered market! 😉 I've been wanting to see more of Korea other than Seoul and Jeju, but I don't know where to start? Most travel channels tell you to go to fish markets and cafes. I'm looking for more upscale venues, unknown cities, and hidden gems in nature. Perhaps you could show us some of that? I truly think you could set yourself apart in this way from the many existing channels about travels in Korea. Looking forward to see more from your channel. 🫡

Flying Singapore Airlines in September. Looking fwd to the food. Yum, all looks great. 😋

I recently flew Qatar Airways business class, and think their Qsuite is a lot better than the Singapore Airlines product. On my last Singapore Airlines flight there were no kits with earplugs and eyeshades available, which made it very hard for me to sleep. The narrow footend of the bed is a problem for sleeping. Online customer service is another very weak point.

It's all very nice, but PLEASE refrain from pronouncing the "l" in "salmon."

Can I check if there is a need to do security check at the Hanoi airport between your 2 flights? I am planning to go from Singapore to Taipei, and Vietnam Airlines is offering a good price for business class by transiting at Hanoi. While I do not mind the extra flight time for layover compared to a economy seat in a direct flight, I do mind the security check needed at many airports for transit. Can you kindly advise?

They know you're blogging so your treatment was different. We tried both B777 and the Dreamliner. Both bad service and bad food. They gave you bottled water. We never got one on our IST-SFO flight 7 months ago. They only chose which ones whom to give. We have to ask and our flight attendant will give us about 1/3 cup of water. Very annoying. We have to run to a water fountain when we arrived in SFO. We were so thirsty. The male crew dressed as a chef had a big smile. Ours going was rude and didn't even talk to us. Only 1 toilet for the whole Business Class passengers.. A lot of passengers were upset because we have to stand in line. Coming back, a young female also dressed as a chef took our meal order without saying a word. Did not see her again during the entire flight. Not anymore with Turkish Airlines. A waste of $4,200 for me. We like Turkeyi very much especially our Royal Hot Air Balloon ride in Goreme. Food at the Lokantasi and their Baklavas are very good but not in the plane. When we go back to Turkeyi, we will take another airline. Aneanseyo.

I only have one issue: I'm Vegan, i will be starved on this plane if i book Business, i hope one day all the flights companies will be able to get satisfaction to all people about food. I love this video though is really helpful ...
