FYI, at the time of this recording (2017), John hadn’t been “Mahavishnu” for about 35 years or so …

I was at this show. Nothing will ever beat seeing Gilmour in a small venue like that.

I was there - it was an amazing show. Chick will never be imitated.

Mahavishnu was way godlike to me 1970-74 then the guitar trio - yow. Took me decades to get slow. Weirdly, I was just listening to "Between Nothingness and Eternity" an hour ago.

Got to see this tribute the last night I believe they also did The Smile of the Beyond and Gail sang it. A very special nite eched in my heart.

Visions Of An Inner Mounting Apocalypse.

Davy Pattison was a great replacement but there will never be another James Dewar. Just like there will be another replacement for Terry Kath in Chicago.

I was there too. It was a fabulous concert! So lucky to have seen Jeff Beck before he died this past January. Meanwhile Buddy Guy is still going strong at 86. May you continue play, entertain audiences, and inspire new musicians for more years to come.

Awesome! I was at this concert too & did the Q & A with Satriani + had him sign my friend's guitar his parent's gave me after he passed away back in April. He would have loved to go to that concert for sure as it was great to see him live again! :)

This is Crowd Chant, not Luminous Flesh Giants. Nice to see something from Super Colossal in the set list. SC is an underrated album, IMO.

I haven't see Satriani live in ages. Looks like this was a great show! This is Ali Farka, Dick Dale, an Alien, and Me, not the song Shapeshifting (it is from the album Shapeshifting).
