It says lay wall 1st then the floor - What a pathetic load of internet trash..! Wondercap FIX THAT STATEMENT YOU DUMMIES..! In the shower the floor tiling has to be done first so if the water was to sneak through the silicon around the bottom, the floor tiles would be there underneath the wall tiles to catch the leaking water - on an angle with the screed with fall down to the floor waste!! If the wall gets done first, the water can sneak straight down to the screed then to the waterproofing..! IM SICK TO DEATH OF SEEING 100% WRONG HOW TO'S ON THE INTERNET, I'M DEAD SET SICK OF IT. (tiler of 32yrs.)

As a qualified tiler, I can insure you that this is all wrong. You never use sticky tape when waterproofing. You shouldn’t use silicone ethier. I think you should brush up on your skills before posting videos on how to do something you don’t know how to do.

problem is with that water proofing membrane coating is the grout in tiles will not totally stick on that compound, and you are going to have a big problem in the future every day used.and the tiles will going to puff up or removed because that membrane have a mixture of silecone rubber.

Does the thinset go through the backer sheet and adhere to the mosaic tile, or is the adhesive on the backer the only thing holding the mosaic on the wall?

@ParallelEnterprises3 жыл бұрын
It can be applied to all hard surfaces, just would need regular coating as Porcelain tiles are non-porous

@@ParallelEnterprises so it can be used for porcelain tiles?? How long to have recoating 6 months a year?
@ParallelEnterprises3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the traffic, higher traffic areas would need more frequent applications e.g. entrances
@sleimansamrani37733 жыл бұрын
I would have started with a horizontal application on first coat allowing the vertical 2nd coat help any water that hits the wall travel down the wall effortlessly and not allow any water to sit inbetween the ripples

It's interesting how the wall is primed, yet the back of the tile is not. Anyone know why?

Tiles these days come pre cleaned and without dust like it the old days so it not necessary unless the tile is over porous or dusty

I have a question....how to apply more pressure to the clip if needed? Seems as though once the bottom of the clip meets the bottom of the tile it applies the same pressure to each tile which wont work in any situation unless floor is perfectly flat.
@ParallelEnterprises4 жыл бұрын
There is different clips for different tile thickness. So in example when you use the 10mm clip on 10mm tile there is enough tension/pressure to make all tiles lipless.
