Can someone please tell me which dog breeds are for stripping and what tools are used for stripping? Not hand stripping.

Many terriers are handstripped and some spaniels. If the breed standard says the breed is handstripped and you want to participate in dog shows then you must handstrip it (or get someone else to do it for you, there are some groomers that offer that service). It varies by country some too, some countries allow shaving/clipping while others demand handstripping for show dogs. YOU must find out which breeds exactly are handstripped, because there are too many to just list them all off here! Now tools, all handstripping tools are used for handstripping, so saying you want to know tools for handstripping but not handstripping is funny. The most common tools however are: finger condoms (obviously still more by hand which you said you didn't want but it is still a tool for handstripping your dog), stripping stones and stripping knifes. For the soft dense undercoat you then use a carding knife, it is for combing out the undercoat to get rid of dead hairs and preventing shedding, it can to some extent also be use to thin out the top layer by grabbing some of the dead hairs from there too, but that isn't really what it is mainly for. Hopefully you see this despite it being 3months ago that you asked this.

I have 3 of them. This has to be one of the greatest tools you could ever get. I highly recommend this for every dog owner and groomer

Does this have to be a 2-person job to clean? Just curious, can I run a small stream of water on the tool instead of having someone pour water on?

Sorry for the late reply. One person can do this easily and effectively. Yes, you can run a small stream of water on this to wet and rinse the Diamagrooves and Diamastrippers.

Why not remove the Diamagroove tool from the Dremel when using the brush method to remove any risk of water getting into the Dremel?

Donna Hime he did a demo for me this weekend and he said leaving it on the dremel prevents the threads from getting wet and rust out. Once you finish cleaning it, you blow in the hole to blow any excess water out.

Diamond doesn’t heat up as much as sandpaper discs/ rolls do. This is $ but, lasts the home owner forever if appropriately cleaned which is very easy to do. Pays for itself.
