Contrary to the belief in the outside world, Afghanistan is much more beautiful. It's more neat and clean, orderly than many other countries. And Afghans are wonderful people.

I'm 65 and I remember the 70s and "the Hippie Trail" to India and Afghanistan. You could buy a ticket from Amsterdam to Kabul on the Magic Bus for $100 USD. The Afghans were so hospitable. I even met an American girl who was in Kabul when they had the left wing coup. I asked her if she had been scared. She said "I'm a tourist with an American passport. Nobody would harm me." It's good to see things returning to normal after 4 decades of war.
