@@jankotze1959 I'm sure you know all this but if the cap has a hairline crack the fire will follow that crack and go to the wrong plug at the wrong time, my dad used to paint the inside of the cap where the crack was with finger nail polish and a lot of the time it would work again for a little while.

I'm in agreement with Vernon. Nail polish has many uses, but I never heard of painting cracked distributor caps with it. I learned something new. Thank you Jan.

In the next one Ed, it just needs some fuel, I know the carb is not 100% but I want it to fire up with a boost and run right, then I can thoroughly clean the carb

Right on Ed, as Vernon said, I just need a way to find a crack, I filled it ones with fuel, though it out and let it dry but no wet cracks was visible

Thanks Joseph, normally this batteries last 2 years and there plates inside bend, so replace is normally the only solution

Thanks my friend,this battery is original to the gate motor and is now in the six year, it is amazing and hopefully I am right and run for another year
