Hell yeah, brotha!! I'm an original member of the Halloween Resurrection cult. Like you, Halloween Resurrection was my first of the franchise I watched in the theater & I've always enjoyed it. It actually ranks in my top 5. Halloween Ends sucked & I hate Rob Zombies Halloween that I refuse to watch his H2. Happy I found your channel 👍

I have nostalgia for Resurrection, but also started to view it in a harsher lens after seeing others hate on it. It’s definitely not bad, and certainly better than some of the nightmare and Friday the 13th installments, I just hated what they did with Laurie in the beginning and find some of the acting and dialogue to be cringy, especially by todays standards. I actually didn’t mind Busta Rhymes, and looking back the plot was way ahead of its time considering they were bringing in elements of reality TV and social media way back in 2002.

You said that Halloween 4 would be better than the original if it weren't for the mask; Part 4 is my personal favorite in the franchise. I'd go one step further and present the case for Rachel Carruthers being a better final girl in Part 4 than Laurie was in the original. Subbed🤘🤘

@ yeah I have some nostalgia for Halloween 5 but the older I get the more I see the glaring issues that are in H5 that are extremely bizarre… And wow yeah that would be cool! I haven’t done something like that yet, I’d have to figure out some logistics on making sure my audio would be okay for it, but would love to set something up sometime soon!

I’m not sure why my comment didn’t show up? But I agree with you on Ghostface. He has become a Halloween mascot and a pop culture phenomenon. He along with the Big 3 are culturally accepted monsters and mascots of horror and Halloween.

I see the 4 of them as being right up there with Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolf Man, Mummy, Witch, etc. Pennywise and Chucky are close. Leatherface and Pinhead are high level but they have fallen by the wayside in popularity in recent years.

@@dccomicsfan4345 idk, I think the concept of that creepy voice calling you and threatening your life, and not knowing who it is but it could be anyone , and possibly someone you know personally in your life is an extremely scary “concept” bc it feels like something that could happen… The opening Scene of the Original Scream is a very Scary scene in the Psychological sense… Ghostface doesn’t have the size or force of a Jason Voorhees but him playing with his victims minds is what makes him Scary

There shouldn't have been a trilogy. Laurie should have burnt Mike in that house and been done with it. That was a great movie. Halloween Kills started good, maintained momentum, then went to shit. Ends was just inconsistent and nonsensical. Laurie's daughter get killed in the last movie and she just move on? The fuh? Then that nerdy dude who punked Mike, MIKE who just killed twenty people at once in the last movie, for his mask???? Yeah that's just lazy writing. Still 2018 was good, but don't care for the last two movies

@@heavybre yeah in hindsight, 2018 would have been the perfect conclusion to the saga…. I personally loved Kills, but the Hospital scene is really bad in it… but gave us great moments like the Flashback Myers scenes.. Ends is just a disgrace to the franchise and am still in disbelief it exist, and it baffles me die hard Myers fans are okay what they did to him in that movie.

I'm 52 years old. Australian. I was shown Halloween 2 by my Rugby coach at age 10 in our after game party Scared the fuck out of me. Didn't even see original Halloween until I was about 25. I love this film, but it is not a “remake” of F13th. If it was then Jason wouldn’t even be in it. It’s a “reboot” of the franchise, including elements of the first 4 films.

100% agree. 2018 was incredible. Maybe my 3rd favorite Halloween. I knew when I saw kills that they would ruin the 3rd movie. Let's face facts kills is utter garbage only good thing about that movie is the killing Myers does. That was awesome. Now ends is just as bad as rzh2. 2 worst movies in the franchise. And I'll all in woke politics is the reason ends was so bad. H2 h1 2018 rzh1 h4 h5 h6 kills are the movies I like. H20 is meh. Res sucked ends and rzh2 are dumpster fires. God awful.
