Since there was no Ippon was there a time limit on the ground since thats the only way to win?

It was a wazari max all day long, I would have given jump. I love Neil Adams, he was my hero, his uchimata, taotoshi and yokotomoenage were second to none but he totally left himself open to that left hand seoinage from a right hand grip.textbook, fight should have carried on.

Neil Adams was the king. One of my role models back then. Sadly, now he sits on the IJF council, making up rules that destroy the sport/art.

And the next (or same) day Neil Adams lost the final for a less obvious seoi-nage than this! I think the 78kg was a yuko, or waza-ari at max, while this was closer to an Ippon

Neil Adams was such a good judoka in his day. I bet he made you feel helpless! That sweep at the start was amazing. I think it's a sasae tsurikomi ashi? I used to always mix them up with hiza guruma.
