I had hyperflash happen months after I installed headlight/resistor in my Tundra. Do you think the resistors went out?

my headlights came with a resistor but it only plugged into the drivers side harness, the pass harness had the same plug, (the yellow one in this video without a wire connected) but nothing to plug it into. my pass side blinker is the one that hyper flashes, only sometimes, like 50% of the time. you would think this would not be an issue at all at this point considering I bought the lights in 2024. WTF.

I asked alpharex if I could install resistors on my headlights for my Rav4 and they told me not to install resistors, this is interesting. I bought mine from a 3rd party vendor on ebay. I may be SOL. Thanks for the video though. Wish I saw it sooner.

Absolutely no way those handhelds are 15 watts

I have the same issue with my 2015 Tacoma... but it's just the passenger side that does the hyperflash. No hyperflash issues with the driver side headlight. Anyway, I reached out to AlphaRex and I never got a response from them... I reached out to TacomaBeast and one of their reps quickly responded and contacted AlphaRex to have them send a set of resistors. I will be installing them on my truck today --taking advantage of the sunlight. Thanks for the video guys!! It really helps!!

You might want try load a zippo pocket warmer inside a heavy blanket instead of electric.. you can get 12 plus hrs on 1 fuel fill.. and can mod them also.

Did you completely eliminated the fuse that baja sends with the S8 I believe they have a 30a fuse for the main bar and a 5A for the backlight, did you just plugged the wires directly to the bantamx? No fuse?

Are you on 35’s with stock cv axles? How often do you snap cv’s with your typical driving style as seen on the video? I just bought a 2012 taco with front and rear lockers and a set of 33’s and a set of 35’s but idk if ill run the 35’s if im gonna chew the CVs like their toothpicks

Interesting. I bought my set directly from AlphaRex and I’ve emailed them 7 times with no response and called 3 times. Every time I call, they ask me for the order number and to explain the problem. When I do that, they say “ummm, let me put you on hold for just a moment,” and after a few minutes of being on hold, they hang up. Every. Single. Time.

Thanks for making the video. I had my in the fuse box under the hood and my lights would randomly turn on when the truck wasn't running, I hope this fixes the problem.

Just installed my yeti car link on my 2022 Chevy Tahoe z71. I’m roughin it for the next year and a half. I wish my Tahoe had an easier way to go through my fire wall. Just saying. My yeti car link looks entirely different from yours. Not sure if the manufacturer wanted this changed for some reason. I just bout this car link two weeks ago and need my battery bank to keep my ICECO running.

Hi there, I am recently just installed these onto my 2013 Tacoma, and I don't get my DRL's or turnsignals. Everything else seems to run properly. I am have some contact with Alpharex, but nothing has been resolved yet. Do you have any advice? Feeling bummed they are not working properly.

You can use a Bluetooth ear bud for your cell phone and mute it to prevent that echo interference from the infinite audio loop. Unmute to talk on the cell phone only when you think the radios are out of range.
