First off I want to say that’s a beautiful build. I’ve been rewatching it for inspiration on my build. I just noticed that I don’t see your battery. Where were you able to hide that away?

hi, thanks ... the battery is relocated under the transmission. You can find online many different boxes for battery relocation under transmission.

What tires do you have on there?

I got Shinko 804 110/80-19 front and Shinko 805 120/90-18 on the rear. In both cases looks like those sizes are max you can easy fit on that BMW models. Keep in mind, my R100/7 is long wheel base ... so the rear swing arm is longer.

Beautiful bike. Maybe some kind of sleek headlight bucket to hide the harness would really stealth it out. Beautiful though

thanks! The harness need still to be connected. It will hide under the headlight when finished. I hope to get updated video soon.

did you have those wheels polished ? they look really good. Really like how this bike is speked out, hope you still have it ? I actually have a mint Nickey, still all original. I put the sato carbon ti slip ons on it. I wouldnt mind picking up a black frame sp2 as well. I have the Yosh mid pipes i found online, i just need to order the yoshi cans, which we can still get. really like this set up

Always wanted one of these when I was 18 a long time ago I had a little rs125 well like most the thing blew up, and some guy on a blade stopped and gave me a lift back to my gf house and I've wanted one since them 24 years ago! Think this may be the year

Meine 51/2 hatte die Original Schorsch Meier Renntüten drauf. Die haben geknallt wie eine alte Norton. Wen ich morgens auf den Werksparkplatz donnerte, standen immer alle Spalier. Das waren Zeiten. Ausserdem hatte ich einen Rennlenker, einen Tropfentank und handgedengelte Alu Schutzbleche und einen Sportsitz und hinten ein Brötchen montiert. Aus Geldmangel und der Ausblick auf eine sehr teure Motorrevision habe ich sie dann 1979 veräußert. Heute wäre sie ein Vermögen wert.

Wenn ich die Augen zumachen, muss ich sofort an meine Ente Citroen 2 cv denken. Meine BMW R 51/2 klang damals ganz anders. Wesentlich kerniger. Die R 50/5 singt so hoch. Aber halt nicht wie ein Motorrad, halt wie meine Ente. .
