Probably the road bridge has not been maintain by the council highway department properly. If it is a Right of Way they must put on a Stopping order and also a alternate route which they have done. We have a pedestrian footbridge a public Right of Way (ROW) near me and the council closed it over 4 years ago due to their claims that the nearby Oak tree roots was damaging the foundations and want to fell the trees which was over 120 years old but a local campaign was started to save them and was proved by them that it was not the tree roots but the ivy which now the repair bill has doubled to around £800,000 they have just started to repair it in December and will take about 4 months to complete. It has take the scaffolders over three weeks to put it up when it coul of been up into 2 days or less. Talk about wasting council taxpayers money.

myobservations as a forigner in the uk is that in uk u literaly have nowhere to park, double yellows painted everywhere and if u want to do a quick stop and drop by the rules... almost imposible.

So park on the effin' road! Pavements are for pedestrians - why should our cammer have to step out blindly around the van, into oncoming traffic. Selfish and stupid on the part of the driver, as his van is STILL obstructing part of the road as well as ALL of the footway.
