Amazing footage; I'm so appreciative you shared it with us here. The bears are gorgeous. I can feel the tug at your heart as you left, glad to be going home, but wondering when you'd get back. Brilliant film. Thank you so much.

Love the video & pics but I think it was so risky to get so close to the bears. They could have still attacked! It has happened before! They were lucky ! And then a bear kills a human that invades their territory and the poor bear gets euthanized!! Not very responsible of them to get that close! Unnecessary!! Next time they may not be so lucky! Didn’t they see what happened to the Grizzly man? Who after years of relationship with Grizzlies thought he was one of them and got eaten by one of the bears. And then the bear who ate him & another younger innocent bear got euthanized as a result. It bothers me when human beings cause these tragedies! And then others will follow trying to do the same thinking now oh see if they can get close to the polar bears we can as well!!. Please stop getting so close. Respect the wild life & these bear’s lives! They are in danger of extinction as it is. Don’t cause unnecessary tragedies !! Leave the bears be ! If they want to film them do it from far away!! Respect the wild!! This was not courageous it was irresponsible!! As per the Article National wildlife Refuge “Though polar bears may appear tame, these animals are wild and their behavior can change quickly. Viewing polar bears in the wild is an inherently dangerous activity. By law, polar bear viewing is dependent on avoiding disturbance to bears. You have an opportunity to view polar bears because people before you used responsible and safe viewing practices. Polar bear viewing will only continue if you and other viewers are careful to keep polar bears and people safe.” www.adfg.alaska.gov/static/viewing/pdfs/polar_bear_viewing_best_practices_usfws.pdf

I don't like the feeling induced by the film that not the bears were the stars rather than theses guys want to be stars. Great pictures nonetheless.

Not just that! Putting their lives at risk and most importantly the lives of the bears! It upsets me the lack of awareness!! And yes great pics! I hope they leave these precious bears ALONE!! And don’t cause any tragedies for them & the bears as a result !

This is one of the more important KZbin videos out there because it redefines the polar bear from an animal that is a senseless killer to one that is something very different. Thank you Martin and crew!

They are not senseless killers but they are still wild animals and wild life deserves to be respected & left alone. These guys broke so many rules from wild life protection getting so close & invading the bear’s environment! They put themselves at risks and the bears. If a bear would have attacked them then the bear gets euthanized or killed to defend themselves when humans are the ones who a lot of the times cause these unnecessary tragedies for what? Fame? Attention? They could have filmed them from far ! And should have. These guys were irresponsible & it irritates me they put at risk such beautiful animals ! And others may follow thinking is ok to get that close to them.

Horrible video - focuses more on the idiots doing the filming than bears - easily edited down to 5-7 minutes - just delete this!
