Liam Gallagher, like John Lennon, formed the band and wrote the early songs that made them great, if hits later happened without them involved, this is testament to making a great band. Yes John Lennon didn't like Yesterday as he was not involved, and Liam didn't like Don't Look Back in Anger as he wasn't involved, but they taught and made the people, and helped produce it. A band is more than the people on stage

What you do is you write lyrics to a load of classic tunes. Then you improve the lyrics whilst DISGUISING THE TUNES. I dare you to ask him if this was what he did (should you get the chance).

No. If he’s honest. He’s took all the hooks and riffs from his favourite songs growing up. Not exactly copying them but developing them into his songs. Still very clever.

Why waste time trying to promote this one trick pony as some kind of songwriting genius? He’s just a plagiarist, and not a very good one at that. I still like some of their early stuff but let’s be honest they showed now ability to develop musically beyond ripping off the Beatles, Slade and John Lennon. Let history consign them to the dustbin of mediocrity.

You mean how did the Real People write so many great tunes..
@mattbrdnАй бұрын
"I can't even spell theory", oh how sweet it is to be an idiot. "I've never been taught anything, musically, by anyone" I think the Real People might disagree. "It's very easy to write angst, I find it very difficult" so if you can do a thing that Noel finds difficult, it's because it's easy. He ought to put these insights to a mash up of 60s bubble gum pop, 80s kids TV, and a bit of Bach.

Too much too quick for the boys, the untouchable god crisis. Generally good boys. Having 4 grandson's i know how boys can be. Well done Liam for your honesty. Read somewhere that Liam was honest. Just swept away with fame and maybe sometimes bad advice from hangers on.

@steven401ytxАй бұрын
@@LBABYLiN Sure. There are plenty of videos about it on here if you want to check what I say. Cigarettes and Alcohol -- Get It On - T-Rex Whatever -- How Sweet To Be An Idiot - Neil Innes Don't Look Back In Anger(intro) -- Imagine - John Lennon Supersonic -- My Sweet Lord - George Harrison Shakermaker -- I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing - The New Seekers Step Out -- Uptight - Stevie Wonder These are just the more well known ones. There are others. They've been forced to give writing credits and pay royalties/settlements several times after copying work. At least one song was left off an album because it was copied. Gallagher doesn't deny it.
@Gab-espartacАй бұрын
@@steven401ytxThose rip offs are quite tame; if you search through any band's catalog you'll find similar examples, besides that nobody cares if you rip off the Beatles, what's really upsetting is what he did to the real people

I've gained such respect for Noel as a musician. He views music like it should be viewed, it's about the melody and feeling. He is so right about what has happened with the internet and how a band can be written off because of their look and lack of image. When I was still playing music the saying that we lived by was, go hard or go home. No matter what the style or tempo, be there with both feet in and give a 100 percent.
