Yup, played snare in the Line in 80 and 81. We could keep up with this group.. Played in the Orange bowl and Sun bowl. These guys are doing a nice job. Sounds really good. Dang I wish I were in college again!....

Yeah I'm old school - played snare in the Line in 1980 and 81. believe it or not, but we would keep up with this group and we kicked some butt. this group is Great and love hearing what they do for sure....

Both are great. MSU takes this "battle", if for no other reason, because of ensemble. They're just SO together, musically visually, and how captivating your sense of ensemble is is at least as impressive at what you're playing. I think that UM's material might have actually been somewhat more complex and challenging, but MSU's visuals, chops, and the *complete* unity of sound was extremely impressive. Cheers all around for your tireless work and commitment.

People just dont know HOW much work goes into playing cymbals...I always had the heaviest set and holding them alone was VERY heavy on its own....biceps of steel those days..by my State flag y'all know my school!!

All MSU has to do is break out “X,” and everyone but the top few DCI lines begin packing up for the night. Good grief, the Spartans are insanely good.

@@notimpressedbyyourm4932 honestly I think most of the comments I was referring to got deleted cause I’ve no idea what I was referring to. But also, there are MANY techniques one can use for cymbals, feels a little strange to be talking down on a college for not following your technique style. In all honesty I would assume there were comments about not liking cymbals as a section cause that’s usually what gets me riled up
