Richard was madly in love with Ruth, knowing this, the prince should have looked for someone else to fall in love with. Sometimes the elders can be so wicked, it's sad they have gray hair but no wisdom. There was a truck load of drama before the end, but both Richard and the prince experienced a happy ending.
