That poor band. Those kids are trying, but the leadership is so lacking. The director is lazy, both physically & no motivation. This music makes them sound like beginner band. The drum major starts the songs too slow. Then again, that's been the pace for a long time. The administration needs to find a better director, this guy has had his chance.

@@Snow_owl1966 bud that’s literally me playing drum set in this video so I set the tempo. I spent 5 years in this band from 2011-2016 and have performed this piece with this band on several different instruments more times than I could possibly hope to remember. I set the tempo the way I did in this instance because this arrangement was written for a much smaller ensemble than you see here since this was an alumni band year. Holding the tempo back lets the subtle supporting rhythms and harmonies of all the different voices in the band develop and ring out.
