The c5 z06 is better than the c6 z06, simply Because that LS7 is notorious for blowing up. It’s also notorious for being a $20,000 engine so have fun replacing it. I’ve had 3 c6 Z06’s and 1 blew up with only 21,000 miles on it. I’ve had 10 C5 Z06’s and non had any issues.

@@aaroncantu1434 i purchased mine fixed and had no issues fortunately. The LS7 is great when they are great….LS6 is great too. C5Z definitely just as enjoyable if not more

@@lsx_doc I will say, aside from the $20,000 motor resting on your shoulders, the c6z is better in every way. The only thing the c5 z06 has is a better raw feeling when driving.

As a Brit living in Orlando I am tempted for a C6 Z06... I've seen a whole bunch of them but have never been in one. I think It's one of the best-looking Corvettes ever made, timeless!

@@Alps6408 Im 6 foot 4 and 300+ and im not uncomfortable in one. They get really warm inside from the floor but otherwise interior is great. Im also in florida where it’s always hot, pretty much directly west of you. Will be posting a new video of it soon thanks for watching 👍

C5 is the peak of Corvette History, because it is still an Analog Car, while the C6 was the beginning of an new Aera. Comuters on 4 Wheels.

Ive got a 2002 z/28 and I feel like I’m in an f16 when driving next to most cars. The throttle response with the ls1 and manual transmission is too much fun. Car is super tight. I can’t imagine a C5 vette.

Great story and a really nice car. I enjoyed the video. I don’t like the black wheels at all. I’ve got a 2011 coupe, but I’ve always liked the looks of the c5. If I ever get rid of this c6 a 2004 Z06 might be in my future, but at 69 I really enjoy the automatic and paddles.

Never been a ford guy but I’m a car guy so I appreciate all cool cars that has come from underneath their umbrella like the mercury marauder. Cool car as is but even cooler with light mods. Imagine if they made an even higher trim called “the mercury marauder terminator. That came with the supercharged 4v and a manual. Ik people have done the swap but Would’ve been cool from factory.

@@T5_T-Rell i also am not a Ford guy but I always had a love for the Marauder. They did make a Marauder with a supercharger but still auto, it was done by Trinity and I believe you could order it, kind of like SLP, ASC…it was a company that teamed up to do it.

Thanks for the video. I'm the proud owner of Marauder #6330 of 2003. Yours looks very clean. Paint looks excellent! Don't worry about the engine noise. The blower motor resistor is the cause of the blower only working on high... A problem with all the Panthers with automatic climate control. Blower motor itself is also a common failure (at least here in Canada in the cold climates anyways). Keep us updated on the car. Love it!

That could be a blower motor itself and not the resistor.

I would still purchase it if it’s a 1999-2001 cobra. You could always put the correct rear bumper and add a kenne bell supercharger to make it up to standard.

I think the C6 Corvette is the best looking Vette made. I like it so much that I bought a C6 Grand Sport with a Manual transmission of course!

Its definitely a nice thing any time I get to see a Marauder. I've never driven one but I did learn to drive on a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. I'm sure that extra 102 horsepower made a real difference!
