Greetings from Indonesia. This Johannes Brahms's music has been used for decades for the famous Christmas song in Indonesia "Malam Sunyi Senyap" (Silent Night). Not to confuse with the international and original song Silent Night, which is used in Indonesian song "Malam Kudus" (Holy Night).

I think my favorite part of the entire piece is the trombones and altos in the first section. Dont get me the wrong, the main melody carriers are absoutely incredble, but the secondary stuff is so good. when 1:18 starts I always get a smile lol.

These trombone tunes written by Fillmore are now considered virulently racist as they promote Black stereotypes.

Going to play this in our brass band, but I'm the only drummer. It will take some creative re-imagining, probably going to sound like the intro to Territory by Sepultura.
