WHAT KIND OF COCKAMAMIE ENDING WAS THAT?

Hm ... just thinking: laser shots, EMP cannons, all attacks travel through space at the speed of light or slower. Shock waves of exploding ships will never reach others in space, they would need an atmosphere. Why isn't the FTL drive (well - there is no such thing but if if exists ....) used to propel space torpedoes? The technically superior empire would have them and any species that has to prepare for war will use force fields and propulsion systems that are faster than light. And you can not see laser beams come towards you - you see the light when it hits your eye - no warning before impact.

Where would dust come from? There is no dust in space and any matter that would deposit on the ship must be attracted by its gravitational pull; even less can there be dust insides of the ship. When the automatic voice says "intruder detected" ... why not negotiate a safe retreat? It is an intelligence and it would seek a way to safely remove the intruders with as little damage as possible, not knowing who is the intruder and what they are capable of doing. The flee from the control center to seek the control center? That does not make any sense at all; the controls would be where they first found the controls, a second, hidden control center for security controls - why should it exist at all and how would the intruders know that it exists and where to search for it?

Just wondering .... one planet against an empire that spans over many galaxies? Let's assume that only the battle ships of one galaxy are used locally; one galaxy must have about 100 million habitable planets, maybe much more. So ... the numbers that the multi-galactic empire would send to battle in a fight for survival or a fight to crush resistance would be about one million ships for every one from earth - and of course, if only one million planets have a population that contributes to the scientific and technologic power of the empire would always be ahead.

They need to build more ships before the empire comes back.

I enjoy the stories, but it seems odd to me that they are always "the aliens". A name of some kind would be easy and would add depth. This story references "the council" but does not use the name after the introduction. "The council fleet" or "attacking fleet" would give more variance than simply saying "alien" over and over.

One of the several funny parts was that at the last battle, the enemy flag ship was destroyed 2 times in different ways. Another example how AI does not defies the laws of physics but the laws of common sense.

The story would be a lot shorter if you took out the dozens of repetitive, trite, unnecessary phrases. But then, they are the smallest problem with this tale. It's just dumb from start to finish.

Oh gosh! the earth are rich in resources - what a bullshit. On dead planets, in space itself or the huge asteriods filds. those places are rich in resources and not a inhabit planet. the only value of a inhabit plane, are the creatures who live on it

Second post. Who is manning the ancient fleet ? Are the ships being maned by AI's ? Who is communicating and giving orders between the fleet and the resistance. From a military point of view, this story is a civilian disaster

this story is so confusing, i thought the characters in the story were aliens but half way through the story they are suddenly humans? typical AI garbage has no sense of cohesion with its storytelling.

This is clearly AI created. It keeps repeating the discretion of the humans in different wording, but still the same. They keep repeating what has already been said. It makes it slow and boring. Cloud not get past the 4 min mark.
