Twisting at the root helps ensure no pieces of hair gets left out, which is a common struggle with perm rods. It also helps with separating the curls, I felt like I didn't have to do as much separating (I used 28 orange perm rods). Great tip.😊

i’ve also had this issue with my 4c hair ! i learned that i had to deep condition before the style and then completely saturate my hair with the mousse to get maximum moisture . but it be like this sometimes . still cute 😌

Beautiful 😍😍😍 I did a perm rod on a friend’s hair for the first time. I came out nice but the roots on some were weird. Twisting it first and wrapping it down looks easier than rolling up. Can’t wait to try again

Thank you! I typically put it in 3 or 4 ponytails at night, nothing tight and then put my bonnet on. Each morning I shake and fluff 😊
