Ridden from Retford to Stockwith and back many times. For some reason, the section of canal from Clayworth to Hayton is very neglected and impassable at times due to being so overgrown. The canal itself is no better on that section and gets full of reeds and weed. For that reason I usually get on the road between the Boat Pub at Hayton and the moorings at Clayworth. Just a short section but saves a lot of misery.

It's a little challenging, and i think this year both Noel and I were ready to tackle it. The climbs up were very hard. I doubt id of made it on the a conventional bike. As for jacobs ladder section that last bit fun the gate was very very hard on the body but we were in a good frame of mind for it😊😊

@@tonybooth8197yeah it's definitely a great challenge, I will do it again for sure, I don't live far from Hayfield so it's quite easy for me to get to, all of round there is lovely, I did the Mam Tor loop on my hardtail last year and you're right that chunky bit is tough on the arms but really good fun!

Hi Donny Lad. Thanks for posting the videos. I'm gradually making my way through them. I like how you talk along the way while riding, such a lot of other videos are just riding at break neck speed and no commentary . I had been thinking of getting an E-bike to keep up with the wife on hers and after watching you ive just bought one. Its great I can now talk to her instead of gasping for breath all the time. thanks again, keep it up!

To be honest for personal use it doesnt make any difference. I use kamoot too as I had trouble with corrupt recording of a route and needed an alternative for people to follow if they choose too. Ive found many routes on the Web version and use it to find routes. Following others who use strava ive found routes such as this ride to do too
