This is near the Rocklea hotel, I go through there most mornings of the week, there is almost always someone in the intersection when the light turns green.

if you run it at the last second or two the other light would still be red so it would be unlikely for you to cause an accident if you time it right

In the last 5 or so years I've seen 10x more people doing this, sometimes even when my lights green they're still crossing the intersection! Also doing u-turns at lights, not indicating whenever the change lanes, but for some reason they indicate during a merge with a zip-lanes, WTF!
