Do you guys use a troll master or throttle control to fine tune speed or just the regular cable throttle?

Why do you feed them line rather than just reel them in? I know you have your drag down tight. Too strong, letting them wear themselves out?

One thing I've noticed being from the blue mesa/flaming gorge areas of lake trout fishing is the difference in gear use as far a presentation it makes me wonder if it is interchangeable

As an example we mostly use massive cowbells/popgear with a 6in tube jig behind trolling

And I don’t know how I missed this one but it seemed pretty special, those kinds we get around here kick my butt on the rare shot over deep water, they have to be full of energy when the water is warming and near shorelines

They need to stop stocking our rivers. The natural fish can't thrive with farm raised fish.

Personally, I ❤️ the all-around content. Big water, small water and rivers. Walleye boats, walking in rivers, snowmobiles, and electric bikes on ice. Your show covers all types of fishing that the average Midwest angler would look to do. 👏 👏 👏

More small river content please! This is the stuff the average guy fishes. The big lake is awesome but id bet if you do an upper st croix river, kettle river, or st louis river upstream of cloquet a ton of views would result.

@@SuperiorAngling I fish the cloquet river and st Louis quite a bit and the rain from I falls to pollard area. There's a lot of great fishing in small water. Sure some fish might not be monsters but it's usually highly competitive among the fish and can be fast action with a simple aproach.

This is the first time I’ve seen forward facing sonar in your boat. Is this new to you?
@SuperiorAngling
@SuperiorAngling Ай бұрын
Not new to us no. I just prefer to leave it at home quite often. It has a time and a place, but usually, the mystery of whats down there and whats about to bite is more fun than seeing it happen on sonar. Kind of depends what mood were in and what we are trying to accomplish that specific day. I will say, when its in the boat, you tend to stare at the screen the whole time and dont take in the beauty of whats around you. But yeah, on the flip side, it does make you a more efficient fisherman.

It's kind of puzzling why so much MN DNR resources go towards non-native rainbows. In my opinion it makes more sense to focus on the native fish and let the invasives die out. Why not put all this effort towards coaster brookies? Another criticism - with all the funds going into this program, why can't we harvest any non-clipped steelhead? Great video Grant thanks.
