これは正式なカバーじゃない。海外の人は知らないかもしれないけど、日本の夏休み期間中に行われた「ビビバスアーカイブ」っていうイベントで行われたカバーなんです。他にもいくつかビビバスアーカイブでのカバーがあったけど、そのどれもが、本気のミックス（音の調整）がされていなかった。 もう一度言う、これは正式なカバーじゃない。ゲーム内にも追加されてない。練習風景の曲なんです。なので品質について文句を言わないでください

while that'd be funny, the archives were never in the game. they were a special thing VBS had pre-3rd anni where they covered songs they don't normally have. i dunno if that was a joke....... but have a good day nonetheless ^^'

After a few months of listening to this every once in a while and a little experience with music producing and mixing, I think the sole reason this sounds as sloppy as it does is because there was no vocal mixing involved at all. Maybe it was schedule constraints for the team, but this isn't a finished track, and it's not about the performances (even if the takes could've also been better, but again, it seems like they just didn't have time to record more). To get the obvious things out of the way, the vocals are processed very little. There seems to be no compression, which makes the takes sound too quiet or too loud, the EQ work seems to have been minimal (I noticed a low pass on Akito's VA, but barely any tweaks beyond the universal low pass to make them sound cohesive), the instrumental is quieter than it should be (especially noticeable at the chorus) and it hasn't been altered to fit the vocals at all (which is something that is very common in Sekai songs specifically BECAUSE the instrumental needs more space for the human voices), and the additional harmonies are too subtle to be able to help the vocal performances. I am no professional yet, this is what I noticed after ~3 years of learning music production, mixing and mastering, so take everything I said with a grain of salt, but I do truly believe that the team simply had no time on their hands to finish this mix. This is what a demo without vocal mixing would sound like, more or less
