why in the hell would you swing a hammer with your thumb on the handle?...this is sinue damage incoming! also, why don't you cool you drifts? the height of the anvil and hammer handling right in the swinging motion of your head is mere insanely unsafe. as a blackmith you stand in a 90 degree angle with your right side of the hip to the anvil!

Because it’s the area of most wear. You jump up the toe to add extra width to counteract the wear.
