As always Sergio, thank you for your incredible generosity in sharing your wisdom with artists so freely. Being a member of ArtNXT Level the past 2 years has given me a wonderful sense of belonging, not to mention the benefits of getting real-world solutions to just about any art career challenge. After 30 years as a full time gallery artist, my biggest challenge right now is re-defining what SUCCESS means to me going forward. I've been chewing on this for about a year now without CLARITY. Thanks for giving me a new perspective to think about.

Sergio, thanks for your passion & positivity! I found this helpful and encouraging. I am strong on Believe, and I'm working on Show-up - once I make more art, I'll be able to move through to Gain. Blessings on you as you keep up your excellent work! Peace, and all good, always… RER

Sergio, this is a very good advice to me. The triangle pillars make a strong foundation. Right now I can show up to my art daily but I am not sure to believe I am good enough to have opportunity. Thank you for your sharing.

Would you mind giving a quick explanation or maybe a video later on about storing your artwork? Since you can't prop these up against a wall, you would need a rather large flat area to keep them, correct?

My weakness is showing up - doing the art. This was a great motivational presentation. Thank you Sergio.

This was very helpful thankyou. Can you use a wider roller/ brayer?? Can these be then stretched onto a wooden frame to hang?? I have some works on paper that I can wait to try this process !! Thank you so much. I will look for you on socials to follow you. Your Artworks are amazing too.

Explain why one would want to do this in the first place and if there are alternative substrates. As a Art Collector and Art Researcher/critic it's important for the longevity and maintenance of a work of Art given the environments it may be subject to over the long term and whether it will endure. How concerned is the contemporary Artist with these issues as compared to the Artists of the past?

Thank you for the clear directions. Would this mounting process work on pieces that have any physical texture ? Would there be enough smoothing pressure if the artwork was laid on a surface with a bit of cushion to absorb the texture, or do you need to really push with the brayer, which might flatten the texture?
@sergiogomezart3 күн бұрын
Good question. I wuld say do a test first before ruining a piece. It can work with texture. As far as the surface, I prefer a hard surface so that I can really push out those air bubbles out easily.

Thank you for sharing your practical knowledge Sergio. What do you think about priming canvas front and back? Linen?
@sergiogomezart3 күн бұрын
Great idea. It iwll not hurt. Or you do a couple good coats on the side you are going to adhere if you want to keep linen visible in the back side.

What is the weight/type of canvas you are mounting the paper on? Thanks again for the video!
@sergiogomezart3 күн бұрын
(Medium, 7 oz. weight)
@cerropaint5 күн бұрын
So…is the weight and stiffness of the paper what keeps the canvas from curling in when it’s hung? Is it imperative to put grommets at the bottom? Can the piece just hang loose? Thanks for the great tutorial Sergio!
