What are the skirt boards made from and how do they resist becoming damp when in constant contact with the ground?

Well i thought about it but decided better keeping that money in a hidden bank account - wifey = conservatory on the right side of the lounge and pool hall / red light district on the left side of the lounge. Yes, I'm unemployed. work from home = wifey, mandatory full time job in an office or McDonalds = chicks on the weekend.

do you also seal the down part on the flashing as well as the top part? otherwise water in driving rain could get behind flashing?

Hi @tonyporter409 Not usually. Once you have beaten the lead into place against the wall using a lead beater, the angle of the cut is so acute that rainwater, will naturally flow away from the area. So the end of the ridge beam is not attached to the house? You just attach the two wall rafters to the house and bolt the ridge beam to the rafters? I'm trying to dismantle a conservatory where the two wall rafters are not attached to the house wall, but the ridge beam is, but I don't see how it's attached. Any ideas, please?

Why is the floor at dwarf wall height.? Weve ordered one from you 300mm skirt and then dwarf wall. I hope it doesnt look like this!

Hi 1983lparker, The dwarf walls sit on top of the floor. If you have ordered the standard height dwarf wall, they will be 600mm above the finish floor level you can see in the video. The skirt will be 300mm below this.

Why on earth would you build a conservatory on anything _but_ level ground? That's the whole point of the Conserva-base isn't it? Do you live in Lavenham or something?!

Jeez, I'm seeing so many things on here that I'm fairly certain my installer stands a good chance of not having done properly when he put the thing up ten years ago ... :( Time I called someone who knows what they're doing to get it all sorted.
