Anti for aggressive park skating / flat for casual cruising & skate rink imo 😁
@karlmoore36652 күн бұрын
Well what do you call it when you take the anti rockers out and just sate with 2 wheels? I've always stated that way if I didn't have freestyle frames at the time

Does anyone seen those STORY AGGRESSIVE skates (green) was wondering if they are any good?
@BacktoBladingКүн бұрын
They’re a cheap skate, I wouldn’t recommend if you’re serious but ok if you’re testing the waters

@BacktoBlading ok thanks for the feedback.i haven't skated aggressive for 19 years and I'm just about to turn 40 so thought why not 😂

I really love shops that have online customizable skate setups like RW Just bough myself a new shell bearings wheels and then a liner and frame with wheels from two other shops which is so cool. Its especially nice when you can save a little money skipping out on the pieces you don't want

The liner thing is so funny to me, I’m sorry you have to deal with it. That’s frustrating but it’s like the rollerblade gods have blessed me, I’m around a 10.5 because of shell breaks in the past I skate normally the 9-10 shell in most skates,also I’m Asperger’s and have sensory issues, I can’t stand the liner pushed up against my toes… so i always skated a bigger liner like a 11 in a ten shell! So medium with a large liner, it’s perfect for what I want lol. Thank you china screwing up!

Ah man, I’ve been there. I hope you weren’t too bad that evening and the following day. I messed up my middle back at work about 6 months ago. I work as a health care assistant and it’s really heavy going on the back.

Good to see you back on the blades, Law. I hurt my back and have been off the skates for about 6 months too. I need to see if I can get away with a chill box session like this.

I think the Rollerblade skates are good for wider feet. I’d look at the Twister line.

Law, you didn't mention Shop Task USA as part of your imminent West Coast shipments. I'm not sure they were part of the same pre-order as the other shops. If they weren't, when should I hope product might be arriving in the shop?
@BacktoBlading8 күн бұрын
We have a few shops that placed orders but aren’t part of the initial drop. Shop Task US has an order in, and they’ll get them from Balance. Likely early Feb.

Bring manufacturing back to America,this is what happens when you HAVE to depend on china they do what they want and expect you to just take it
@Eikod10 күн бұрын
Manufacturing mistakes will always happen. Ideally, the brand gets big enough to hire someone to oversee manufacturing. Moving production to America would increase production costs by anywhere between 50% and 100%. It's just not doable unless you want to kill the brand/sport. "Bring manufacturing back is just political brainrot". Not to mention they are taking care of the issue as Law stated multiple times, so the brand is just not "taking it". Geez.
@BacktoBlading10 күн бұрын
Someday, maybe. For now China has the most experienced companies making this stuff, and access to all the materials they need. It’s the best place in the world for skate production.

37 here, my kids wanted their first pairs of skates for Christmas and want me to get out there with them. Used to blade and play roller hockey daily from like 7 to 15 so it's going to be fun trying to learn how to do this again!

I keep seeing this place in my feed! Where is this and is this a private residence? I would love to skate those kinked ledge/rails! And to @BacktoBlading you seemed to have bounced back from that back issue so thats good. Keep it up. Its 20 degrees feels like 10 at the moment here in NYC so I cant get myself outside to skate in this weather. Id never get warmed up. I cant wait for the spring

Installing wheels with an aligner is SO much easier - especially on flat frames. Very cool! I love the sonic tools for this, so having a stock key with phillips, hex, and aligners/pushers is big and should become the new 'standard.'

Would you recommend these for a seriously wide foot. I am looking for a skate to get back into but I need support because I have had multiple surgeries on my left and haven’t been up on them in a good 20 years.
Hey Law I have a super wide foot best sizing for me is SL size 10, what would you suggest for Omni V2?

Hey Law, looking to get back into blading and would love to support Standard! I have super wide feet and the only skates that reasonably fit are SL size 10. Which would be most comparable with the Omni? Thanks in advance for your help!

Glad to see you're on the mend! seems like you got some really good advice from your PT there. Would love to see you run through your non-skating and skating warm-up routine and what you're targeting with each exercise. I've found that warm-up has been taking a greater and greater percentage of my session time, but remaining diligent with it vastly improves my enjoyment, as well as my chance of injury... but i kinda need to do it solo-dolo, before joining anyone else, which can be hard when you just wanna skate with the homies! Anyways, much love and stay warm!

I’m pretty sure you also don’t usually skate flat. I know you are trying to do it for more shock absorption. So flat could be adding to the hesitancy of some grinds. I always struggle when I change. Keep up the good work ;)
@BacktoBlading27 күн бұрын
For sure! Worthy trade off I think for the extra absorption but yeah, anti would be much easier
