2:15 Code reuse is a non-issue here. It all has to do with proper separation of concerns in your code. You can write non reusable code by intermixing operating system functions with your domain level code. As long as you do a good job of separating your scheduling code from your application code, reuse should be achievable. That's all based on coding discipline and has absolutely nothing to do with an OS.

@MichaelKingsfordGray yeah how dare anyone question the authority and intellect of a random person on the internet. You are right, various compiler comply more or less with the language standards, and the language standards are not in and of themselves perfectly well specified. This doesn't actually set c apart from any other language though, and this isn't necessarily even a problem for the language to address. There exist other tools for analysis and verification of software semantics other than compilers.

Nice Insight. I have question. 1) If a Tablet with USB Type C output port is connected to Mac book that needs charging, will the tablet continue charging the laptop till it drains out all its power, or Is there any communication going on between UPF and DPF at regular intervals? 2) Once plugged in can UPF and DPF change their responsibilities ?

LPCScrypt (which works on Windows, MacOS and Linux) has replaced LCT (which was Windows only). See www.lpcware.com/LPCUtilities We will be migrating everything to nxp.com this year, but this will include all the current LPC utilities.

hello , I am wondering if you can point me in the right direction . I am coming from an 8 bit AVR and trying to learn to use NXP entry level M0 microcontrollers. such as the lpc800. But i do not know what type of programmer to use ? Do you have a specific programmer you can point me to, but not for huge production just for use at home
@xavierr4508
@xavierr4508 6 жыл бұрын
Maybe too late but this is the answer: you can get an independent debug tool (same for all Cortex M processors) or you can buy a board with the microcontroller you want to use. All this boards from NXP includes the debugger.

Hardware assisted AES offers excellent performance results. In addition many applications will require a software SSL/TLS solution like SharkSSL to handle key exchange over TCP. With this SW solution there is also the *optional benefit of (ECC- Elliptic Curves), which will keep RAM usage to a minimum.

I like the Ideas implemented in this MCU Series ! I also like the video as way of presenting, but the video itself is too basic and toward (looks like) hobbyists AND not Eng. Students for example or Professionals. I'm looking forward to more "Tech-like" Video or in-deep, but brief, presentation of the Secure BOOT, 2 key OTP storage - those are very important ! And they strengthen by HW AES (although 128bit) and TRNG make very serious security capabilities for these MCU. Especially for CORTEX-M ones ;) I'm wishing to have a future project where they will be the match and use one of those MCU Series :D I think the possibility is greater for the LPC43Sxx as it's M4/F based :-)

Now you should release the 55uA/MHz M0+ core alone with even lower standby current, when it's without the M4F. And I would welcome the ADC to stay there :)

It is a perfect and amusing approach and tools. I have a question: What exactly happens if an interrupt comes when a scheduler is running ? Is the ISRs are locked when a scheduler is running or not? Thanks
@vasanth0x55tube
@vasanth0x55tube 10 жыл бұрын
FreeRTOS uses a timer resource of an MCU to run the scheduler periodically. The interrupt priority of this timer will be configured such that it is lower than other hardware interrupts. This ensures that when an interrupt occurs, the scheduler will be suspended and the ISRs get executed immediately without any latency. Processors such as cortex-m3 supports multiple priority levels to make this possible. Hope it helps...
