Im an atheist. But Byzantine Christian art is truly something else.. My heart goes out to Hagia Sophia
@travelthegreekway17 сағат бұрын
I agree! Byzantine art is so beautiful and it inspires feelings that do not necessarily come from religion, but more from architectural beauty, and spirituality.

I stayed in Psirri in July 2019 with the family for 4 days and it was great!! Plenty of hidden tavernas with good food , went to Little Kook as well , walked along the same alleyways and narrow streets; had a wonderful time!!

Where did you start (address and where did you finish? Would be far more helpful to see. Considering Psyrri but wondering about graffiti and crime? Any concern?
@travelthegreekway5 ай бұрын
Hi Jim. Thanks for your message. I started from Agion Anargyron st in Sarri st. and finished in Monastiraki. Graffiti is all over the place and it has nothing to do with gangs.Psyrri is perfectly safe to stay and wander around.

Yes, we did, but one section we took a taxi to avoid the dogs, because reports of attacks. The dogs did attack us, while we were inside a taxi! Driver was not happy about bite marks on his Mercedes... Other than that, very beautiful place, with lovely people. More friendly than the people in Athens
