There is a B & W episode of Rod Serling's original Twilight Zone called "Come Wander with Me" that deals with the endless replaying of a death scene. Bonnie Beecher sings a beautiful haunting song in it that tells the story. The song along is worth the watching. She tries to end the death loop of a rock-a-billy singer (Gary Crosby) who came to steal the song she sang. She has coon hunting brothers and don't like strangers. He kills one of the brothers and runs away. The brothers find him and kill him. This scene happens over and over and ends the same way. A loop. Bonnie thought she could change it. Lurking in the background is a mystery woman dressed in black. Maybe this short is using that same theme, idk.. The role played by Bonnie Beecher is Mary Rachel, Rachel was the name used above. Check it out.
