I handcraft pu'ili for local hula shops for over 30 years now. This impressive performance inspired me to get back to work knowing that my pu'ili may one day be implemented as was in this video. One of if not the best performance with pu'ili. Makes your heart pump.

Aunty alison RIP! They won overall that year and waiting for her return, she was killed by a drunk driver there! What a damaging loss for my mom to lose her sister after watching her do what she loved! We watched this with great admiration and a lot of tears of losing her there! Love u aunty AL!

I loved your Aunty Alison. This is Ehulani I was dancing with her in this performance and got in the car but had to get out at the last minute. RIP Alison and Holly 😢❤

My hula sister, Kanani Pharr was also in this line, also told me how devastated they were, and how bitter sweet this was. I ʻūniki-ed with Kanani, later. Love her.

I love the music background -- but the translation is a bit off. The English version of this song is called: Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell.
