How many people get injured or killed on this trail a season? Cause so far i have watched 2 close calls for a head on due to much speed and people not driving on there own side in corners. Don't get me wrong I love speed and sleds and motorsports in general but people are carrying to much speed for that trail.
@SenditATVSSLEDS

Mentioned that in one video of this series about this and one uploading now. In my opinion yes there are times speed is an issue, but a lot of it is machine setup. Guys like to have their machines with more track pressure, which in turn takes away turning ability. (Was busy with people not familiar with trails as well , free weekend) Two buddies of mine (Black Pro S in video) and another not in this series had bad setups. They bought their machines used like myself. Theirs and mine had terrible steering when we got them. It doesn’t help either on warn trails that are powder in the corners. Another factor I brought up in video uploading were the turn warning signs. Always ride safely but the signs there were bad. 90 degree turn signs, for something that you may not even consider a turn at all. Was enjoyable though. Will go up for longer next year.

Ya I heard. Happening everywhere. Especially with sledding. Even with people riding roads, when most municipalities don’t open until April 1st. People who are against road allowances, will use that to as justification to eliminate it.

GoPro 10 Black. Drone DJI Mini 2. Both shot in 1080p. GoPro 60 frames linear. Run GoPro block so I can link a battery pack and external microphone in my helmet. I hit record and never have to worry about missing anything. Forgot to open front air port on helmet so my audio was muffled. It reflects voice back and does that when closed. Probably going to start filming in 4K next video actually. The key for better quality is countering the compression done by KZbin after uploading. Also the format used. What program are you using for editing? If you have Instagram you can add me up and personal message me.

Hey brother. Did you loosen the two screws on the top plate of the rubber inserts? Loosening those a little bit makes it easier to push those rubber mounts into your rack. You then tighten them up and the rubber will bulge out and really grab in there with extra pressure.

@SenditATVSSLEDS another great video. Sub’d. On one of your other videos, I was asking you if your machine has 50,000 km but I forgot that you guys are allowed to drive them on the roads down there now. Out here if we drive on the streets, we feel like we are robbing a bank lol. So many granola crunchers here just don’t like our ATVs and snowmobile‘s and side-by-side‘s. Lol. I’m in Alberta along the mountains and it’s funny because the difference between the riding here and where you are, is that the trails are extremly rugged in places and you could put on 30 km in a day and you’ve seen it all done at all. Lol. Usually a big day ride around this area is about 90 to 110 km’s. What year is your machine? I bought a brand new 2013 skidoo XM snowmobile and it had the same tach as yours does. That’s interesting that you have a windshield on your machine. We don’t see anybody around here with the windshields because it would get ripped off in the first five minutes on the trail lol. I’d love to hear what parts your machine needed in that 50,000 km that’s just awesome. There is a fellow here that used to ride almost every day of the week and this was 25 years ago. He was riding a 300 Honda 4 x 4. Anyways, he had put a tach on it when he bought it new because they never came with them and apparently he had about 50,000 km on that machine which is absolutely unheard of around here. I rarely ever see a machine over 10,000 km in these parts. In that 50,000 km he had it rebuilt a few times and had to do the crankshaft once.
@SenditATVSSLEDS
@SenditATVSSLEDS 7 ай бұрын
Answered a lot of those questions on your other post. Ya many areas we can ride on roads. Not crown roads though. Municipalities grant us access but ends last day in November and opens April 1st. Ya tach on your skidoo is the same. Saving on parts I guess. How’s that sled been? Other than the obvious benefits of having the windshield, it’s great on videos because you can see the movement or feel how rough the terrain is. I know a guy in town who puts like 30,000 km on two years on his SXS. His only vehicle though.

I know this is 2 yrs old but to anyone that owns a proaction suspension, the keel on the Yamaha ski is terrible. To stop them from darting you can do a few things, the cheapest way is to cut a peice of rubber or wood the width of the ski saddle, 1/4 " thick and an 1" wide. Place the shim under the back of the ski saddle so it raises the front of the ski so the keel doesn't run into the machine before ski tracks. The next cheapest is to buy these plastic ski & carbide savers from Royal, they bolt under the front of the runners and ski to make the keel wider at the front doing the same as the shim above. Getting up in price is new ski carbides, (dual runners). What works good here are Cooper Heads, the front of the runner is shaped like a cobras head which flattens out the runner track of the runner before. The most expensive is to buy new skiis, there lots on the market.

Is the main difference you were able to get through the water at 10:29 due to your tires? I don't think you have a snorkel but I'm sure the rad relocate helps. I've got a new stock 2023 2up XTP and I wouldn't attempt that line either but would be good to know. I'm still getting used to how deep I can go and want to avoid any expensive mistakes. :) Great ride/video!

Thanks. The XMR has snorkels to dash level. It just doesn’t have the raised snorkels which can be installed though but it would eliminate my windshield which I like. The tires do help a lot because they pull the water. Been a lot deeper than that. Check out the short video from 2 years ago called “Do you ever send it? LOL hold my beer”.
