I don't want to be unkind but please learn first how to shoot a springer before recommending this rifle. This way you'll never get a good group. The gun rest can be used for powder burners and PCP's but not for springer air rifles. Learn the artillery hold, use a sandbag and let the gun glide in your hand mate and you'll see a big improvement. Cheers!
@AfricanAirOrdnance5 күн бұрын
@@rapalaron6348 no worries I've had springers since I was a young kid so I'm very familiar on how to hold the rifle during the firing cycle the rest I use allows the rifle to recoil back as it has soft foam backing that the butt rest against so it allows the rifle to recoil back 55 yards for a budget springer shooting just over 700 FPS is quite a ways to shoot. This rifle is not a high end Break Barrel like a Diana most videos reviews on these cheaper guns are shot at 20 yards and I did videos 20 .35 . 45 yard distance it was only at 55 yards that the group opens up which is what I expected it to do .I don't take your words as Unkind but just pointing out to you I'm no beginner when it comes to springers
@rapalaron63485 күн бұрын
@@AfricanAirOrdnance I was also shooting springer air rifles as a kid and i'm 59 years old now. I tried all kinds of gun rests and the recoil absorbed at the end rest will always affect the front stud with a solid, one piece rest like that. No problem with powder burners when the projectile already has left the barrel or a PCP with no recoil but i see the front stud moving with every shot. Some times more than the other time and that depends on the pressure you hold the shoulder piece against the end stud. The rifle should glide in the front stud but nothing works better than resting your leading hand on a sandbag using the artillery hold.
@garymcguire94635 күн бұрын
My thoughts exactly! Keep your hand dry and let the gun slide back-and-forth!!!
@AfricanAirOrdnance5 күн бұрын
@@rapalaron6348 57 I'm 55 lol so congratulations to us making it this far in life. But that said the groups for this rifle were great up to 45 yards shot from the same rifle rest using the same technique which is to allow the gun to recoil. Backwards which is exactly the same as using the artillery hold again here are other factors playing into accuracy pellets that group tightly at closer distance don't group out further with break barrel if you look across many different review channels most shoot at 20 yards. Some out to 40 yard and very few 55 yards and further out there is a reason for this . other factors with break barrel accuracy using scopes is that on closing the barrel the barrel doesn't reset in exactly the same position each time. That's why Diana model 60 Target rifles that were break barrel design for shooting Olympic 10 meter have a locking leaver on the side of the barrel to ensure that after loading the barrel returns to exact the same position so if this issue would affect accuracy over 10 meter imagine over 55 yards. So accuracy issues are not just the way you hold a springer if that were the case then the accuracy I was getting with the rifle at 20 ,35 and 45 yards would have been affected

Well done! ONE POINT to consider: All else things being uniform, the seating of a pellet should also be uniform; the same depth. I use a PELL SEAT I bought from Beeman many years ago. It has around ball on the end of the rod that is about 3/8" in diameter, and seats the pellet to the same depth every time. Kind Regards, FMR Intelligence Officer

U have to remove the bottle then remove the front block that the bottle screws into then remove the front block from the plenum tube if you shine a light into the front block on the plenum side of the block way in the back you will see a Tiney Allen screw you will need a very long Allen key to reach it that screw holds a small Oring in place this Oring is what keeps the HPA from leaking back out once you bleed off to disconnect if it comes loose then it will let air leak out you just need to tighten it down
