I'm not overly surprised to see a French Canadian movie portraying execution as something bad, I don't agree.... BUT....I love this actor and believe we should all learn and listen to every aspect of the controversies we support or fight before opening our mouths (I used to tell my ex that if he's going to say that Christianity is right and Islam is evil that's fine to have your opinion but FFS read the flippin Koran and THEN argue with me but if you haven't even read it and tell me it's wrong then I'm certainly not the dumb@ss involved in this conversation, ya know?) We don't just execute ANYone. It's generally horrific, violent, multiple victims, repeaters, multiple other violent crimes as well, murderers who have been on death row for well over a decade and has multiple appeals, investigations, etc, etc. To argue that someone could be innocent and put to death now days is just not that process works. Kinda like your not going to find TRULY innocent men placed in a *maximum or super-max* level security prisons because those are people who are killing or torturing other inmates. Perhaps they could be innocent of a specific crime but most likely they're repeaters . It's not exactly the way people think it is and it's never properly explained to most of the general public. But imo... murderers, sexual predators of children, animal abusers.... I'm all for putting those monsters down so that they can't cause more horror. I've always felt forcing a victim or the family of a victim to pay for the monster's housing, their 3 meals a day, entertainment (tv/books/magazine), clothing, laundry, beds, paying for them to literally lounge around all day not having to get a job or work, their dental/psychological/optical and other general medical healthcare, etc, etc, etc... Is wrong. Forcing the victim or/and their loved ones to pay to support the entire life of the person who murdered/r@ped/beat/assulted them or their loved ones (which is exactly what is happening when placing someone in prison, specifically "life in prison") is particularly cruel, evil, unfair, just flat out wrong. Obviously that's just my opinion but it is what it is.

Ahhhh.... monsieur Dupuis. Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat. Such a beautiful man to look at, to listen to and to watch work. La Femme Nikita is still one of my favorite television programs, all these years later. He and Peta Wilson had such chemistry, never forced, always palpable, leaving the viewer feel as they were part of the intimacy on screen.
