Side marker lights in California are required by law as are the 5 mph rated bumpers, but could probably get away with it.

In Europe, we have classic car registration, technical commission period every 5 years, regular rules do not apply, so no worry's about these small things which made car ugly :) i am just fixing the factory mistakes :) because of regulations.

@@VintageCustomCars We do too, but car must be pre 1974 to be smog exempt, otherwise vehicle must maintain all safety equipment, like headlights, etc. I don't think things like removing side marker lights of installing different year bumpers would matter much to them.

I guessed the Alfa within the first few seconds based on the prices that they are getting here in Australia. Not just the Junior, all 105 Alfas are going for prices ranging from $AUD40,000 - $AUD80,000 with restored version pushing six figures. I recently purchased a perfectly restored '66 RHD Duetto for just over 100k and I think I got a bargain.

The shock absorber is that 'bottle' in the front. Later models have the 'normal' gas fillled(?) shock absorbers next to the spring box. Be very careful to lower that fragile car, there was good reason to have that much space and long long spring space to move up and down. Imagine that car was made to 'drive' kind of off road. If the swinging arms will hit the rubber stopper up there the car can be hurt. So better let it jump all the way up and down as intended!

I was surprised by the black headlight grills, I thought it would be too dark, but they look great… I painted the inside of my grill black as well, but I may do the headlights now too.

Thanks for posting this. I see some parts needed for my 77 Alfa's Perspex headlight lenses; the rubber grommets that hold the lense more securely for instance. Did you have to cut the trim rings? I ordered those and they are too big and will require cutting. If you cut them, what did you use? Thanks again.

I got lucky, my 74 had the small bumperettes in the front, then a big truck backed up into me and smashed the front of the car. So when I took it to the repair place, they said they could not order the same front bumper but they had the bumper without the two protruding ugly things sticking out so they put that on. Unfortunately I still have the back bumper looking that way but at least it is steel except for the two protrusions which are black. But nobody notices that. everything else I have because it's a 74 except the radio which I do not think is necessary. My problem now is the Spica pump is failing and you can't find anybody to work on those so I will have to swap it out for carbs

Thanks for the vid. I have a question for you and your followers. My soft top roof won't open all the way. It stops at about 3/4 open and sticks up above the body, it won't collapse fully into the body. Do you have any tips or advice on how to fix? Is there any specific part of the mechanism I need to look at? Many thanks

probably the folding mechanism, it needs to be WD spray or even regulated, check for some of mine video with full instruction of roof top installation and you will get ideas where to check
