Do these dining rooms require reservations?
@CruiseAlaska5 күн бұрын
Reservations aren’t required but are recommended for the Manhattan Room, Taste, and Savor. Walk-ins are welcome but wait times might be long depending on how busy they are. Happy cruising! 😎

I picked the wrong cruise line from my Alaskan cruise. This makes me so mad that they doc. At ward cove.. Now I'm not even sure I'll even try to go into town in Ketchukan Because I don't want the chance of missing. The boat are all the horrible lines in chaos. I really wanted to see creek street. I looked at a boat excursion, But it literally gets us back fifteen minutes before all aboard, and that makes me too nervous
@CruiseAlaska7 күн бұрын
Yeah… docking at Ward Cove limits what you can do on a short stops. Visiting downtown Ketchikan and Creek Street should be okay, but going on excursions are iffy.

Very helpful. Going in September with my 75 yo mom. We both have back issues that sometimes make walking and climbing an issue. Especially her. She walks with a cane. Can she feasibly do this excursion? I know it’s wheelchair accessible but she doesn’t use one.

The area is well paved except around the lake. No steep inclines that I can remember and there is an elevator to get to the visitor center. Hope that helps. Happy cruising! 😎

what to expect nowadays in ANY Alaska port is...excursion prices have gone through the roof...double and triple the prices...open up your wallets if you like excursions...we're going back for the 5th time, next May...won't be taking that many excursions this time...we used to take 1 at every port but they've priced themselves out of even being reasonable

Hey… we’ve been on 4 Alaska cruises too! We were supposed to have been on our 5th Alaska cruise a couple weeks ago, but had to cancel 🥲. We pretty much steer clear of the excursions for the most part too. 👍

Where specifically is the pickup point? Up one level from where? What parking garage?
@CruiseAlaska3 ай бұрын
Sorry that I wasn’t clear. Everything was in relation to baggage claim. From baggage claim take one of the sky bridges over to the parking structure. I believe the ride share pickup area is on level 3. Just look for and follow the signs. 😎

I nust got back from my I'll ask him cruise on the Norwegian bliss the only thing about the trip i didnt like was the Casino ITS A RIPOFF dont ever play in the Casino aboard the ship.Trust me but everything else was perfect
@CruiseAlaska3 ай бұрын
Curious… what made you feel ripped-off? The machines? I mainly play craps and it was just like when I play in Vegas. 😎
@lawrencelyke84543 ай бұрын
Yes.As I have lived my life,swore off blackjack,never cared much for craps,not very disciplined for the new poker variations,and reverted to slots,I will hopefully follow your thoughts.Slots have a very captive somewhat "suck you in stlye".No worse feeling on a boat I'm sure when a machine doesn't go well.Particularly when you could be enjoying anything else.
@jblizz639 күн бұрын
There is no difference. Casinos aboard cruise lines must follow their country of origins casino laws. That includes gameplay and payouts, max bets etc. Since Norwegian is actually american owned and operated it operates off anerican gambling laws.

I haven't been on a cruise yet but have watched a lot of cruise tips videos. One thing all the vloggers say is to have printed copies of your boarding pass and other travel documents, as well as saved digital copies. Some even say to have photos of all your documents as a third backup. You may lose the paper boarding pass and the wi-fi at the terminal might not be the best so a photo would be a safe backup. Of course, that doesn't apply to your passport, just documents like boarding pass and any reservation confirmations.
@CruiseAlaska8 ай бұрын
Yes! We scan all our travel documents, ID’s, passports, etc. and save them in a Dropbox folder and in a Notes file on each of our phones just in case. Thanks!

Having just returned from a NCL bliss trip I was highly disappointed when we got to Ketchikan for the simple fact that by the time you got there from 25 min bus ride you had very little time to enjoy this beautiful little town. Why bother stopping there if your rushed to get back to the boat.
