It’s been years since this animation was made but I saw it when it was initially uploaded having no idea what TAZ was, and now I’ve finally gone and listened to it and remembered this animation and wow suddenly it all hits home and it’s also weird to remember when I knew nothing and only liked the art. So thank you for that experience.

Murdoc: WHO TF IS IN MY BAFF!?

It should be known that this was what introduced me to TAZ. I had no idea what was going on but the characters looked really nice and the emotion was high so I went "well boy oh boy I gotta listen to whatever this is from" and well... It was disorienting to go from this to episode 1 and the chaos of the start. I had no idea how much of a spoiler this animatic was. I had no idea. I spent the whole podcast in a strange limbo between knowing nothing about the story and knowing that Taako's sister Lup exists and was inside the staff. It was an odd existence. But to hear the audio from this finally come up in the podcast after months of listening, it was an extra wave of nostalgia and relief. After finishing this podcast I came back and rewatched this beautiful piece of art. It's been three years since then and I'm still just as obsessed with this podcast. I'm in the process of making a Taako cosplay. I own the comics. I made friends because of our shared obsession with this franchise. I don't know how much this animatic means to you anymore, I know five years can do a lot to how an artist views their work, but it truly means a lot to me. Thank you. <3
