I see you have posted a few videos from the Cardiacs gig at the Camden Falcon from late January 1999. Were you involved in their production at all? I ask because my brother Jonathan Banks was and I am trying to track down the other camera persons. Thanks

PS If the original uploader could adjust the thumbnail to show something other than an ugly brown blob when posted on Facebook, this Big Ship would be perfect!
@TheRichN11 жыл бұрын
While the Mare's Nest version of Big Ship is obviously fantastic, I think THIS might be the best live clip of the song on KZbin, simply because it captures the crowd's euphoric hands in the air moment so perfectly. In fact, it might be the best video in terms of capturing the truly unique communal magic of Cardiacs gigs full stop. Look at those faces! Celebrating happiness and joy, all around the world…

There kind of is a studio version now. Its on the latest God Damn Whores album called "hey ya hey ya hey ya ho". Seeing as the song is written by Jon Poole it seems only right that he released it. And the album version is every bit as good as Cardiacs version

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY IS THERE NO STUDIO VERSION OF THIS
@Benn.singersongwriter3 жыл бұрын
There is a studio version from the band of Jon Poole. It has a cardiac vibe but i like this live version a little more. randomjonpoole.bandcamp.com/track/sparkly-silver-sky

God, it's been ages since I came back and listened to their live stuff (thanks to Belscotia for uploading it). So damn powerful, with lyrics that give me goosebumps. I was lucky enough to see them twice ... and now I realize there'll never be another band like them. I miss them so much.

you see the love of the crowd for the band,your all on the same level at the gig,no agro as your all share the same understanding for the group,,its a select few who only get the cardiacs,what a buzz to see them and to be with like minded people.

At last, video evidence confirming that the Boner is alive and well, together with his assistant, Nora von Slootgarden. Where was this filmed, a hangar in Area 51 perhaps? Who were those 'musicians' making that interminable racket in the background? Are they aliens from another planet who have not yet mastered Earthly instruments? This is obviously a cover up that has gone wrong. Ha, Mr Jones, claiming to be the Boner indeed! This video raises more questions than it answers...

I'm trying to spot me.... I'm sure I'm there at the front somewhere, and I've got to have *something* to show the kids!! This is a great recording- captures all the live epic-ness of Big Ship in all it's glory and wonderment! Wish I could be in that mosh pit again right now...*sigh*...
