How come you do not use cornmeal or sawdust mixed with borax to adsorb the fat and whiten your carcass when you flesh. Does FHA not do fur handle courses in your area?
@bentleykakekayash64763 күн бұрын
Idk I never tried that mix before. I have tried sawdust only . I pretty much do everything myself with what I have. But that sounds interesting, with what you said. As for the courses I would have to drive south for that.

@@bentleykakekayash6476 yeah when I flesh thawed wolf or wolverine I usually use cornmeal or sawdust with some borax mixed in. But lately I have been mostly frost scrapping. You need -28C for that though.but it does a good job and is way easier. Good for rough skinned beaver too. If there are 6 to 10 guys interested in a fur handling course I would call Mark Taylor at FHA and see if they could come up. They probably would be willing.

Looks like you figured out the ten. Mine likes BBB. On the crazy high shoots you often only really have 1 shot. Stand, spread those legs and bang. If you can count to three before the bird hits the ground, it's a high shot! Great looking dog. The vest is great. I 've used white t-shirts on mine but they get wet. They also need some cutting and tape to hold well. Enjoyable to watch. Liked the beginning and the end. Thanks for the video.

Nice to see the dog work. Tough retrieves. I bet he slept well. The footage of the geese flying over the blind was great. I never saw someone hunting the "traffic" on snow. Well done! Thanks for the video.

I like that method. I struggled this winter with a 90lb male I got. Your method seems to put more tension on the toe than holding all of them. Thanks a bunch for showing this.

Trapping wolves is very shameful whether you realize it or not your day will come to be judged. Indians shouldn't have special hunting and fishing privileges. Equality should reign. We owe you nothing.

Why do you handle bait & traps with same gloves? Won't wolves smell the transfer to your trap?

Ya I am lucky . Plus someone seen it to before hand so I knew I caught a wolf , just not sure where. And for the breeding idk , maybe they just get worn out like that idk.

I have had snared wolves eaten by pack members , also. I have also had trapped ones attacked - but not killed. Not much blood at yours. That would indicate that the wolf was dead prior to being eaten. Thanks for the video.

Is it safe to have your dog in there with the traps or wolves around were you are trapping some people don't like that trap for fur but the population of most animals would have put them in danger because maybe food is scared they have to be kept in check people should be aware of that the government should help the fur trade and pay a fair price for the trappers who are working in the traditional way of trapping how much are the petals worth the governments should help the trappers market the fur and make job for things out of fur products i would loved to have a mittens and fur hats and more clothing for the skin s keep up the great work its a pleasure to have watch L forward to the next one
