I’m on Vancouver Island, British Columbia on the west coast of Canada where the temperatures are moderate but I travel all over the country and winter layering is very different depending on where I am. Layers are key when you go from 10 degrees and rain to minus 20 and snow in one day. 😂

Wow I have never thought about wearing a wool cape on top of everything. I was wearing mine like a cardigan (two layers only). I will definitely try wearing it on top of a coat and add a hat. Thank you for this master lesson on layering.

For the first time I learned from you Daria to shop in my own wardrobe and rotate. It taught me that I may re-like the items if I simply putting them away nicely rather than donating them. And it greatly increased the resources for creativity and the sense of freshness. I had some clothes that feels a bit too tight last year. But amazingly they become fit again now that I lost a little bit of weight. What a surprise!

I joined this company wearing business formal 8 months straight. I was sooo bored. And I found Daria's channel at the time. Then the company changed dress code to business casual. Now, in the same company I moved to a different team, it is de facto casual. I am continously being inspired by Daria's video!

I have two pairs of winter go-to boots. One pair is my black suede Timberlands which are above the ankle heavier boots-good for the snow we get on the pacific west coast of Canada. The other pair is an up to the knee black leather zip ups that are perfect for dressier outfits.

The colder season is somehow longer than the warm in central Europe but it is easier to buy summer shoes and sneakers. I can clearly see that I have more summer shoes although I need the opposite. I don't know why, maybe because boots are usually more expensive and need to be of better quality and also maybe because in summer and spring I feel more creative, so I want more options..,?.

I have just added a few full length wide leg trousers to my wardrobe, so I am going to experiment with chunky boots or loafers, slender knee-high boots. And I also like the new square toe slim Mary Jane shoes that are popular now too. It will be a challenge to keep the number of shoes to a minimum.

I've just gotten my dark green, mid calf rain boots out for the wet winter weather. They're not particularly stylish, but they are practical and cute for what they are.

I loved this video - every brilliant initiative has an inspiring story behind, that is super valuable to share and universal to relate to! On a separate note, my mother used to keep telling me that my legs are too thick and i should wear baggy pants to cover them when I grew up. Baggy pants then made my legs look even larger. The reality was that I danced and walked a lot growing up and did not do much of upper body strength training, so my lower body is one size bigger than my upper body. But i grew up to realized that I had great shape of legs and am beautiful in skinny jeans! Another thing I have realized that I had fantastic shape of my head rather than 'horrible' one, only after I shaved all my hair at 27 years old! They don't know better about my body. I do!
