why would i want to live in the armpit of a 3rd world country?
@Expired_Snack4 күн бұрын
Even living in south scottsdale is better than most of the country, i would take the scottsdale trolley anywhere from fashion square area down to south scottsdale infront of the circle k, take the tempe orbit to the mill ave in asu or tempe marketplace and continue to shop or party in 40ish minutes even tho i had a car, i could day drink and get around safely. Also growing up with and getting to know a lot of cops in the area has a few perks but they def dont mess around, i went to spectate with a few friends knowing about the fashion square riot and they brought out the horses, a helicopter, swat, dps, fbi, reinforcements from mesa and tempe pd, then went back to my friends place who lives in a neighborhood right behind fashion and his neighbors had the road blocked with their trucks and like 4 people lined up holding rifles like maniacs setting up a checkpoint not letting anyone through unless you live there. Crazy stuff.

New push for compliance with regard to vehicle registration. Don't bring a car here and think just because it has an out of state or country license plate that registration can be ignored. The party is over and ADOT wants it revenue. Zero tolerance for unregistered or expired tags. Large fines and even impounding is coming. Just obey the laws and everything is good!

Correction: Landlords USED to cover pool care and maintenance. Now, they all say that this is the tenant's responsibility. You also have to pay a monthly fee for "repair services", a $25/month admin fee (not even sure what that is for), $50 a month for mandatory smart home devices, $45 - $75 for the mandatory "resident benefit package" I have seen several that require a $300 "redecorating fee" & $100 re-key fee BEFORE you move in, and some that make you rent the washer/dryer separately. This is all straight greed on the part of the corporate landlords that bought up all the single family homes. I have had an awesome private landlord for the last 3 years, who is not trying to exploit the housing market for profit. My needs have changed and my current rental home isn't the best fit anymore, but there are so many junk fees attached to every rental I look at that I am afraid I may have the only decent landlord with actual integrity in the valley.

I enjoyed the video. However, the word monsoon is a season and change in the direction of wind and moisture patterns. Therefore, it is not plural. You are referring to multiple storms in a season and not multiple seasons. Monsoons do not come or hit us, storms do. When rain or a storm happens during hurricane season, we don't say a hurricane came or a hurricane hit us.

I've lived here my whole life. Used to be an decent affordable place to live. Has become much hotter, expensive and miserable. The wife and I are in our late 30's, early 40's, college educated with 2 young kids, both working for one of AZ's top employers with combined income of $220k. Were stuck in our 1300sqft 2 bed house because we cannot justify the expense of upgrading to a 3 bed 1600sqft house for an additional $300k. Cost of living, housing especially, has gotten out of control here relative to wages. If your older and have wealth you might enjoy the 6 months of good weather. If your younger, not already on the housing ladder, especially with kids, you're going to hate it here.

Inflation wont come under control until government spending slows down. Mortgage rates are based on the 10 year yield which is affected by inflation. Even if the fed cuts the federal funds rate (short end of the curve), mortgage rates won't come down. Now if the fed bought up treasuries or MBS that would be a whole different story.

No buyer fatigue is from prices being too high. Its not the interest rates.

People finally started to smarten up. The number one reason why they kept rising and stayed as high as they are is the stupid people blindly pay the prices. When that happens, of course people are going to charge what they charge. I'm glad buyers are finally choosing to say screw it and just rent at this point. When rent is cheaper than a mortgage, it makes sense. And when people rent, theres nobody to over pay for these houses. I hope people lose their ass.
