I’ve recently noticed camponotus ants in Indiana jumping, freaked me out, I’ll try to get a video of it.

Might I suggest that you put a common object in your films so we commoners will be able to have a sense of scale for reference? Say just place an American penny in your shots? Then we will have an idea of how large these larva are. I assume the egg form must be about the size of a grain of rice? How big are the larvae themselves though?

i remember today seeing a roach fly i was once trying to stomp next to a roach until it hops off the wall and tried to attack me i backed off thankfully but it just hovered in the air like a bee or a drone and then it just fell it lasted 2 secs for it to stop hovering and drop

They bite AND sting at the same time? No wonder why a lot of people say they hurt a lot.

The bald faced hornet looks a lot like a yellow jacket. We get a lot of yellow jackets so thats what I think of when I think "wasp".

🎉If you are enthused with a somewhat less appealing crawly, I'll end up seeing the fun in studying even, ew Those, too. Plus, in a lab, n not on Bootsie, they get more photogenic. Thx, Always Observe !

Do they feed on blood as well when they're larvae? Or do they have a completely different lifestyle/niche to the adults?
